Policies and Procedures
LES strives to provide a training environment in which all participants may learn, network and have fun in an environment of mutual respect and responsibility. The staff shall conduct and operate its attendance so as not to annoy, endanger or interfere with the rights of other staff, attendees, speakers, clients or event facility staff. Any practice resulting in complaints from any other staff, attendees, speakers, clients or event facility staff which interferes with the rights of others or exposes them to annoyance or danger may result in expulsion from the event, at the discretion of LES.
LES does not tolerate harassment in any form. Any harassment or intimidation based on race, religion, language, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, appearance or other group status; sexual harassment or intimidation, including unwelcome sexual attention, stalking, or unsolicited physical contact; or yelling at or threatening any other exhibitors, sponsors, attendees, speakers, staff or event facility staff (verbally or physically) may result in expulsion from the event without a refund, at the discretion LES.
By working with LES you agree to follow these rules for the duration of every event including any event related communications.
BE ON TIME. This is the first thing we look for when booking you for future events. You must be in front of your Event Manager at the scheduled start time.
You must arrive in appropriate solid black business professional attire and comfortable all black shoes that meet our guidelines. Clothes should have no wrinkles or stains and be suitable for a professional setting. Minimal jewelry may be worn. (SEE FULL EVENT DRESS CODE GUIDELINE BELOW)
From the moment you arrive on-site to the moment you leave the event, you are representing both LIFE Event Staffing and our charity partners! Be professional at all times.
Upon arrival, always approach your Event Manager and check in with them as well as check in your arrival time in the Armada app. Introduce yourself to all of your Life Event Staffing coworkers.
Ask your Event Manager any questions if you are unsure how to perform a task during event night.
If there is a question you can’t answer, let the guest know you will find your Event Manager who may be able to assist them. Note: You are expected to be friendly and engaging with the guests at ALL times.
You should NEVER ask the client or volunteers of the organization how to troubleshoot the system. Direct all questions to your Event Manager.
No chewing gum at an event.
Smoking and alcohol consumption is strictly prohibited when on site. Staff are present as working professionals, not as event guests. At no time should staff engage with the event in a guest capacity.
Staff may not consume any food or beverages intended for guests, including passed hors d’oeuvres, plated meals, or bar service, even if offered by catering or venue staff, unless the client has specifically approved this.
Eating in front of guests or clients is not permitted unless explicitly approved by your Event Manager in a designated staff area.
Staff may not remain at the event to socialize, network, or “party,” even if invited by guests, clients, or vendors.
Staff may not take, request, or inquire about guest amenities, including gift bags, giveaways, or promotional items.
Maintain clear professional boundaries with guests, clients, and vendors at all times.
Once released by your Event Manager, you are expected to promptly gather your belongings and exit the venue within 10 minutes unless otherwise instructed.
Do not use your phone for personal reasons on the event floor- this does not look professional to our customers.
Do not take selfies or pictures at an event unless approved by the Event Manager.
When dealing with celebrities or VIPs, always follow guidance from your Event Manager. Typically, you would not approach them unless instructed to do so.
Do not bid on items at an event unless approved by your Event Manager and the client. Some clients prefer the auction remain exclusive to their paid guests. If approved, ensure you have the funds required to pay for the item at the conclusion of the event.
